Teaching DT with micro:bit (Primary)

Free - no account required

Created for Years 3-4, 5-6

Duration: 1 hour

In this webinar, Lyndsey demonstrates how a quick micro:bit project can hit a wide range of DT curriculum points with the help of class activities.

The micro:bit is an embedded systems board appropriate for use in both primary and secondary schools. Through a short 'Ice Cream Challenge' project using micro:bit buttons and radio, we demonstrate how it can be used to teach the Digital Technologies Curriculum. We then show how adding small classroom activities focused around the project will broaden the curriculum reach and help give students a better understanding.
